The Durham Scarffish was my very first inspiration from a NC place. While driving to Durham one day I came around a bend and there was an absolutely adorable, tiny house that looked like it had just been painted. Slate grey brick with ice-white trim and, as I passed, I saw the eye-popping lime green Adirondack chairs on the front porch. Perfection.
Fast Facts: Each Scarffish and Moby is made by hand from 100% acrylic yarn, and can be safely laundered in your washer and dryer. They tend to get softer and a tiny bit longer with wearing and washing. (In cold weather, there’s nothing like pulling your scarf out of the dryer as soon as it goes off and putting it immediately on your neck: wow!) Do keep your scarf away from the scratchy part of Velcro, as it will pull out strands of the yarn.
Each scarf is accompanied by one of my Starklers, a tiny sparkly starfish to hang anywhere you like: Christmas tree, plant, doorknob, rear-view mirror, you name it. They also make great tiny gifts or party/wedding favors. I sell them in boxes of six or twelve: if you would like to order some, send me an email.
